Two centuries ago, a great army of Orcs crossed the channel from the continent to the north of Eddonland. This army was able to drive all the way south to the capital before their final defeat.
This army was lead by Pugdush. The source of his strength was a magic orb of unknown origin. This orb allowed Pugdush to command a powerful red dragon.
When Pugdush fell, the orb was taken as a prize for the king. It remained in the castle until the rise of Jarlo Webb. When King Mendill returned to the throne, it was discovered that the orb was missing.
Scrying has not been able to locate the exact location of the orb, however glimmers have shown it to be in the city underground.
